Dawes AFM
has anyone a wiring diagram or the knowledge what colour wire is the signal from the oxegen sensor to connect up the Dawes afm. And can you access this wire in the engine bay rather than direct from the ecu? car is a wrx MY02. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks Bob

This diagram corresponds to my MY01 here in Aus too, I don't think Subaru made any major changes between MY01 and MY02?
But haven't you already wired it up?
The wires you want (at the ECU.. I know you wanted the sensor, but the ECU is going to be easier).
B17 White=main signal
B19 Red/Green=ground
D2 or D3 Yellow/Blue=+12V Power
If you must get it in the engine bay, the sensor depends on whether you are getting the sensor down near the downpipe, or up near the firewall, it changes colour between these two points.
You will need a multimeter/voltmeter to work out the wires, but if you start the engine, and test each wire (when the engine is warm) then the one with a voltage that varies between 0V and 1V is the O2 sensor line (rev the car a few times to see the variation). The heater can also read this voltage on a multimeter, but I am assuming this one doesn't vary like the O2 line. The wire from the O2 sensor passes above the gearbox, and into a connector which is in the middle of the firewall area, behind the intercooler. There are unfortunately 4 wires here to choose from, so it may be a bit of a lottery getting the right ones...... do it at the ECU.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Tony
