Just fitted a new short engine to my99 on turning engine over no spark at all,battery been disconnected for about 3mth could this have affected anything,any help welcome---------thanks.

 

have you checked using a different battery or your battery in a different car ?

If not then try that, also make sure everything is connected properly with good earths

 

Check Crank Position Sensor, Cam Position Sensor and Earths...

Can check with a scope at the ecu end for a square wave signal whilst cranking...

Ground can be checked by a jump lead between block and negative terminal on the battery..

Also check and double check all connections... Alarm Immobiliser?
