Gather it doesn't mean well, warning sign. Came on earlier when i started the car and was on for about 1 1/2 miles and then went off. any checks i should do??

 

Check the level of your brake fluid initailly

 

The float maybe stuck or the level a bit low - often comes on when your pads are getting low too.

If you have 2 pots then the light doesn't indicate low pad life, so it's more than likely that the fluid is low or a stuck float.

 

The fluid level dropping because the pistons were a long way out BECAUSE the pads were low can set the warning light off. Everyone knows that it is not a low pads indicator per se...but it can give you a hint if the pads are low.
