Hi Folks,

[Ref: MY00 Impreza 2000 Turbo Saloon)

I have an intermittant door rattle coming from the drivers side rear door. I think it is something inside near the centre pillar because if I push the panelling on the door it stops the rattle.

Has anybody encountered this, and if so any fixes?

I'm assuming I will have to take the door to bits, any help on the best way to do this I'd be grateful for as I have never dismantled any part of my scoob as yet!

Both my rear doors rattle do you have leather? I do and wish I hadnt bothered because the car just rattles and squeaks all the time and drives me mad!!. The dealer removed the door panels to fit leather door cards and didnt fix the clips backs properly try pushing the panels back on with some force.

it might be an idea to remove the inner door panel, it's quite easy but there are several steps to follow - which I can't remember at all.

Exactly the same prob on my 4-door, haven't tried it yet but someone suggested that the rattle was associated with the door lock/hangers and could be cured by spraying with lubricant. Worth a go before you start taking the doors to bits.
