Wink

ive got a dawes fitted, currently running 15 psi boost on a full decat UK MY98.

i've heard about a fuel cut defender that enables higher boost to be achieved.

1. where can i get one from?

2. How much is it?

3. is it easy to fit?

4. is it safe ie regards to damaging the engine?

cheers
chris

£100 HKS FCD, 4 wires I believe to splice in or cut at the ECU. Or build your own for £5 if you can solder.

Make sure you do not abolish fuel cut entirely - the two solutions above only raise it.

I would suggest not going over 17.5 PSI and check for knock.

If the MY98 is the same as the MY99/00 you go off the end of the maps with too much airflow, the ECU will fall off the last column of the map and continue the last ignition and fuel ratios.

Since Prodrive now use a similar method, it is arguably the level of boost you run not the method that will cause you problems.
