when putting an ecu in another car for example a ppp one from a my01 does the keys etc need to be programmed or anything else done etc, and does it require a select monitor

Mike, if you fit a different ECU into a new model you need to reprogram the ECU with both your keys, to do this you will need access a to select monitor with the cartridge for the new model.

Your local dealer will have the correct equipment or if that may cause problems Power Engineering have the equipment, (I guess other tuners like Scoobysport will also have be able to do it).

Don't know about the MY01 but when I changed the ECU on my MY00, no reprogramming of the keys was required.

Ditto for my MY00 and I have done it a couple of times. The immobiliser does not seem to be linked to the ECU.
