Or if you can locate a sec hand one form an sti, or I think MY99 wrx onwards etc.
Loads of people do aftermarket ones tho. Demon tweeks, Rally design, and the many many subaru 'specialists'
In quotes meaning they call themselves that. Others may disagree with their description from time to time.

Thanks to you all for the advise, I cant get hold of a second hand STi one, as they must go like gold dust, I think its gonna be between a B&M and the JWR one which both look pretty good let me know how you get on fitting the B&M Si?

Thanks to you all for the info.

i have just fitted a JWR quick shift that jamie sent me. cost was £117.50 delivered. looked at the STi but decided to go with the solid ali JWR rather than the bent metal look of the STi. i also got the matching screw-on solid aluminium gear **** to go with it and it looks ace.

apart from the dawes, this has got to be one value for money mods i've come across.

Question

Just got a copy of the rally design catalogue and their quickshift looks perfectly OK and althought the B&M one looks more quality I am sure this will be indistingusiable once I have covered it with my leter gator and gear **** as long as the dimensions are the same. Does anyone have any practical experiance to prove or disprove this theroy

bear in mind the B&M one is £150+ and the rally design one is just over £50 I think

Well the B&M un aint cheap but u get wot u pay 4 & lets face it scoobs aint cheap anyhow but still good luck if u is feelingbrave
Anyhow chaps @ Roger Clarke motorsport who just fitted mine said it was more expensive than the 1's they do also but excellent quality & extreme which i can confirm it's bloody outragous if i now fart with the clutch down it's liable 2 move the stick enough 2 change thru all the gears So basically only had a small drive with it so far but it is brill the tiny amount of movement now needed 4 gear changes is quite frankly rude!!! But i like it although the likes of a numpty like Moreen might not find the relevant gear
ENjoy & good luck wotever u go 4 but it does improve sprty feel no end

Unhappy

watch wat u are doing with this cause early gearboxes only have single syncro mex and it is easy to shift faster than the box can take (busted box)
