Does anyone know if an STI intercooler will bolt straight onto the WRX mountings?

 

If you are talking about the MY01+ WRX then the answer is yes. Mail Caronte or PCB as they have both done this.

Yes they will bolt straight on, the only thing that needs changing is the intercooler pipe. When ScoobySport fitted mine they modified the PPP piping fitted to the standard I/C. This worked fine, if i had not sold the car (bought the rest of an STi7) i was going to fit STi7 intercooler pipework just to finish it all off properly. I sold the intercooler and modified pipework to Caronte and i think he has had no problems.

ScoobySport supplied and fitted the STi7 intercooler, bonnet scoop and bonnet scoop internals, all genuine STI parts. - 01268 590085

Sorry should have been more specific! It is for a late 93 WRX and the intercooler is from an STI Type R 98/99. Liz.

 

You've got the angled intercooler then so it won't bolt on directly. Ask jonny gav on how he modified one to his car..

From wot I can remember the piping is different on the newer ones as well as the early 1 being at an angle. Had a look at it b4 going 4 the FMIC and it was gonna be 2 tight 2 shoehorn in
