The AA have just confirmed that my Starter motor is fubar, no hickstead for me today then

Anyone ever replaced a Scooby Starter Motor ? is it an easy job ??

 

I guess the answer is no then.

Also anyone know if a UK starter motor will fit a 1993 WRX ??

 

Fairly easy job. Uk is same as Jap. In fact, all manual gearbox starters are the same, or interchangeable. Autos are different.
Can be done without the removal of the intercooler, altho it will be a bit easier if you do remove it.
Dont forget to disconnect the battery before changing.
