reason for this email is simple. Im stripping the interior out of my car (my00 wagon) and manufacturing and fitting a 6 point roll cage. Options i know of are, weld in application, bolt in application (preferred). Also the standard issue requirements are Chrome Moley, Steel (heavy), Aluminium, Reynolds Tubing.

I have access to workshop and very competent welder (for all types of metals) and the fact that i love to get my hands dirty. If anyone has any pics, write ups or any info whatsoever that would help me to learn more before i go and *******ize my car,

Feel free to email direct to my LARGE email account:

jamie@connect.comdek.net.au

ANY help would be appreciated.

Jamie why don't you try looking at the STi website. IIRC there are pics of different cages on there. Also have you tried Safety Devices, OMP, Sparco etc? You may find some info there.

If you are going to race the car the welder will have to be a certified structural welder to get the roll cage certified.
