Hello everyone this is my first post on here just thought id say hello.

Right heres my problem....I bought my first scooby last week,its a 97 uk 2000.Everything has been spot on till tonight.When accelarting hard in 3rd from say 60 or above it starts to pull as it should,then all of a sudden it seems to hesitate for a second,the car will jerk quite hard as if its trying to go but it wont,then the power will come back again.It has also done it a couple of times in 4th and 5th.I dont get the problem in 1st or 2nd.

The car has 70.000 miles and is standard apart from an exhaust.

hi john,your hitting the dreded fuel cut mate.

clean out your boost solenoid with some brake cleaner and that will sort it out

Someone mentioned today to change the spark plugs,could that also be part of the problem??
