I have a MY00 Classic shape and want to alter the front air dam. Does anybody know if it is safe to cut out the section that goes across the middle of the air dam that the number plate mounts onto. If so what is the best way of doing this. I basically want to mount some racing mesh in front of this section, but think it looks crap seeing the centre section behind the mesh.

Cheers

No, you'll loose some rigidity unless you're fitting a fmic.

Cool

Just cut 'em off with a saw.

I left about 10mm , drilled the *stumps* and wired the mesh onto these.
Plenty rigid, the vanes you remove are floppy as hell, no support from them.
