got lucky on getting my boost guage of a broken import scooby, It's a blitz one and well when installed in my car it only just go's over the 0 mark!

Is this cause' the uk ones are crap?

Yep, ya cars crap - tha boost guage is fine

Seriously - what does it show with - ingition on & engine not running (should be zero) & at idle (- 9 PSI-ish?)
