Default Blobeye STI Replacement Key Coding

Hi Guys,

My spare key for my 2005 STI failed, its the single button key. I managed to source a spare (used) key from eBay and I have programmed this to open and lock the doors etc, but it wont allow the car to run as it needs to be coded for the immobiliser. I have the original Key Code Card that was supplied with the car, but not sure if that helps in this case. Is there any way of getting the new spare key coded to work with the immobiliser or do I have to go to Subaru for a new key and no doubt pay a fortune?

Thanks all.

Don't go to Subaru to get one unless it's the last resort, i made that mistake a few years back, new key plus coding was best part of 400 quid

Thank you @JdmSti2006 do you know if there is a way the chip in the key that I have bought can be reprogrammed or am I just better off getting a new key?

In the meantime I will contact Immotec.

Thanks again for responding.
