Default Removing VTA blanking plate?

I'm having some problems with my blobeye WRX. It's throwing a P2044 code, which is related to waste gate range/performance. The previous owner had installed a Forge VTA piece on there, but it came with the original part, so I figured swapping it back would be a good idea. I'm not the most mechanically minded fellow, so I've hit a roadblock. I cannot remove the blanking plate from the recirculation feed. There's just no room to get anything in there, and nothing to grab onto on the plate. I'm not particularly familiar with the car yet, so I'm not confident starting to take more pieces off to get to the other end of the hose to pull the whole piece out. Any advice on how get the plate out?

It's a bung that's about a few inches long so the clip might still have a hold of it if you can force the clip a bit further down.

Then just prise it out

I appreciate the response. At the risk of exposing the depth of my ineptitude; what tool should I use to prise it out? The bung is round edged, so there's no ways to get pliers to bite. I've pushed the clip as far back as I can realistically get it given the flexibility of the hose and tightness of the position. I'm actually struggling to pull the clip back up when trying to give up and put it back together with the VTA on just due to the positioning and flexibility.

The hose will be clinging on to the bung. A small screwdriver can be inserted carefully between hose and bung to loosen its grip or preferably a hose pick.

That's brilliant, thank you. I will look at ordering one and having another go. The more you know, eh?
