Smile Alternator help please

Hi,

I'm after an alternator for my 2004 WRX. Could anyone please confirm the correct pulley dimension I need please? as im finding a 55mm and a 54mm both keep coming up in search results.

Thank you

Trish

there is a part number on the std one that you need to match as they are a "smart" style and will throw a CEL if the incorrect part is fitted (even if charging)

As fitted to ModelYear 03/04/05 UK 2.0L Impreza WRX

Aftermarket units seem to quote 54 or 55 mm pulley diameter and either 80 or 90A output.

Workshop Manual quotes 90A for UK models

Thank you very much!
Yes I had already obtained the part number from my current one which is fitted, it was the pulley size and speed I was conscious to get right. Thanks for all the extra info Don Clarke!
