Default GC8, which back box to release the rubble?

Hi.

I have a MY2000 UK Turbo. Still running a TD04 paired with a few little mods, in the region of 280bhp.
The exhaust is Standard manifold and up pipe, Scorpion St Stl decat downpipe, 2 1/2" Scorpion St Stl centre with a STI back box. ( 2 1/2" pipe into dustbin sized box, with a 3 1/2" tip)

It's just too quiet!

I don't want it to be stupid noisey, but I'd love to hear a bit more rubble. It's a track car so need to be db limits aware.

Any recommendations please?

Thanks.

Hi is the Centre pipe resonated? I'd just swap the back box out for Haywood and Scott back box.

No resonator, just straight through.

The Sti backbox is your problem. Swap it out even for something like a prodrive backbox. With the decat downpipe and straight through centre box itll sound perfect without being a total pain to drive around in

Thanks both. As referenced, the STi box is like a dust bin so not surprising it's quiet, I just didn't want to change without asking as I don't want to go too far the other way.
Given me some ideas. I'll probably aim for a prodrive as H&S are not cheap.

Yes Prodrive will be fine and not too loud. Other option is to have the STI back box opened and baffle cut out.
