Wishbone advice 03 Wrx 2.0 Blobeye Wagon
Hi All,
After buying replacement wishbones it appears my old rusted ones have 2 lugs holding figure 8 style drop links to the anti roll bar.
The replacement wishbones donated from identical 03 wagon have only one lug wich i assume meansusing different style droplinks ? , Question is am I better off just purchasing replacement drop links to match what i have or buy replacement wishbones again sigh.....pics below
Old wishbone 2 lugs these appear to be standard wishbones for Subaru Impreza 00-07 Saloon GX
replacement wishbone.
Replacement from donor WRX has a single lug can anyone suggest the correct drop links for my dilemma or suggest why someone would have changed on its from default or did they use the same wishbones for the early WRX's ? thanks in advance.

All newage (GG) wagons had the same style "U" bracket for the front drop links.
I would say your "NEW" control arms are from an SG Forester of similar vintage that uses the STI style drop link.

OP unless you have both control arms it won't work replacing just the one with what you have. The track widths are different between the saloon and wagon so one wheel will stick further out one side than the other which I can't imagine will help handling. Have you looked into the recall that was done a few years ago for the control arms rusting? If it hasn't been done yet you may be able to get brand new control arms fitted for free and they'll be the correct ones.
