Default Improving airflow into air filter box-question.

As I understand it in a very limited way, the turbo increases the pressure of the air/fuel mix so a bigger bang.
If the pressure is increased (remap) does the initial air flow need increasing, ie a better flow into the filter or does this side of the turbo not matter ?
In other words, on a turbo car, will standard airflow suffice in most circumstances ( road driving, not track) even after a remap ?
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers

The oem air box is said to be good to at least 400bhp.
