Default Assembling AN hoses

Anyone working with AN lines will be well served by investing in this.

It might seem expensive for what it is, but it's one of those tools that will save you so much time and pain that even at this price it's a no brainer.

I've only fitted PTFE hoses so I don't know if it's harder to work on the braided rubber hoses. But I always just use some duct tape around the hose and cut it using the braided hose cutter I have. That's an expensive tool as well but I get perfect cuts with that and no problems assembling the fittings. Less risk of getting dirt into the hose aswell.

I don't have exactly this one but it's similar https://www.viperperformance.co.uk/t...se-cutter.html
I also have some of the assembly tools from Torques on Ebay, works great.

I’ve got that kit above, bought years ago and to be honest I’ve built 40+ AN lines since and never needed it.

Those cutters from viper would not cut my goodridge hoses cleanly at all, was left with loads of frayed stainless.

My job was complicated by the hose still being on the car, the kool touls kit was a life saver as even moderately frayed hose went straight into the hose end.

I had to to sharpen my cutters after using them for a while. They work perfectly fine on PTFE AN6 hoses at least.
