Hi there,

I've just fitted a Pierburg 3 port boost solenoid to my 05 WRX and I was just wondering how to check that it's working properly - would this be a matter of checking that the turbo wastegate is functioning properly (i.e. not causing an over or under boosting)?

I was wondering also if I'd need to get the car mapped again as I might need different wastegate duty cycle values to control the wastegate or does the 3 port boost solenoid simply respond faster at high boost than a 2 port solenoid, such that boost pressure is easier to control?

I realise that I should have researched these questions before fitting the solenoid haha
