Default P0519/P0519P fault codes...ICV

Car is a 2004 blobeye wrx

Had the car mapped a few weeks ago, all seems to have been fine, last time I drove it I parked it up and car seemed okay.

left for a week or two, came back to the car and upon starting revs on idle are very high for a while then EML comes on and revs drop. Car drives terrible.

codes are p0519 and p0519p, cleared the codes and they come back right away

plenty on forums have said idle control valve, as well as many websites

my question is does this seem right? One day driving fine, idles perfect to one day just being the opposite at the flick of a switch?

would cleaning the ICV really clear this up or should I go straight to a second hand unit?

does anyone have a ICV for sale?

could it potentially be something else?

I've ordered a new gasket

Just a ICV clean sorted this issue in the end
