Default Heaters blowing warm at idle

Done a lot of work to the subaru over lockdown, did a cylinder 4 coolant mod as part of this an10 fittings and 16mm t piece. I'm not sure whether it did this before as I never used the heat on max but now heat set to max driving along it blows out very hot, left on idle for a few minutes and it drops in temp, if I have the temp set to around 26/7 I don't get much noticeable drop. Dropped all the coolant again and topped up very slowly making sure no air glugged down, all levels seem to be OK and have left it running for a reasonable amount of time to get any air out and taken on a couple of drives, I get no over heating at all in the car guage doesn't move at all. Anyone had this temp drop at idle with a cylinder 4 mod?

I myself am not convinced by this cooling mod but even so it looks like the fittings you have used are far to big. Plus remember you have tapped into the heater circuit.

Was thinking it might be a case of it being due to the mod, lots of kits all seem to use that size though. Even if it only helps a little it's still something

If too much flow it could be a bad thing

Yeah reading more think you're right, getting a custom t piece sorted to reduce the flow and then hopefully this heater issue will be gone

Yeah I'm getting a restricter pill made up and I'll shove that in there so then it'll be same as other kits and shouldn't cause the issue
