Default Close Ratio Gearbox

Hi All,

I used to have a 1995 WRX Type RA and I absolutely loved the gearbox that was in it, low top speed but great acceleration. I currently have a 1999 Turbo 2000 and would like to know

A) Which boxes have this same close ratio (Also assume matching diff required)
B) Which ones are stronger (I know any second hand boxes are a gamble)
C) Which ones will go into my Turbo 2000 with minimal changes of hubs/drive shafts etc

thanks in advance for any info.

Numerous ways of achieving your goal but ideally your diffs need to be 4.444 with 1/1 drop gears. Look at a gearbox/ratio graph and obtain what you think is best for you.
