Default Repairing cracks in VF35

Hi so wondering does anybody know if someone on here has ever welded the common cracks on the wastegate on the VF35 turbo up successfully ? When mapping had low figures only 313bhp so would rather try fix the cracks even tho people say they don't cause problems

What did your mapper say about the low figures?
it could be a number of things.
My vf35 had a crack in the housing but still made 354bhp,It would have to be a huge crack for it to not make the power. Most vf35's along with other vf turbos have cracks yet make good power and last years without issue
who mapped it?
what's your current spec?

As shrek says the mapper and supporting mods may have something to do with it.
that said it may not

Think a might just sell the VF35 look for something else ,to be honest the cracks don't look as bad as some av seen after research ,maybe ask for £200 as i know there's no play in it but not ran it in a few years
