Default Turbo blankets...which?

Found a few out dated topics on the subject but a lot of the sites linked no longer work so just after the current go to turbo blankets.

I’ve read a lot about ptp on here but can only find an American site for them?

im after a blanket for the standard TD04 turbo so I can run without the heat shield to save time and issues in future if gaskets need replacing or downpipe needs changing as my heat shield had to be destroyed to remove

Speak to Alyn at AS Performance, he supplies turbo blankets. I got one from him, think it’s a Forge one. Not fitted yet but looked god quality when I opened the pack.

I've always wondered about turbo blankets,do they fit all std location turbos or are there specific ones suited to different turbos like sc42/md321 etc etc

The Md321t is made with a GT30 exhaust housing so any turbo blanket for that size will fit.SJ.

I have a forge one but after removing and refitting after a turbo change it ripped at the stiching and i wasnt rough with it, but i do need a new one, so little waste of 60quid but did stop the heat so if your turbo is the one staying then id buy.

yeah I’ve read on even the expensive brand ones it says once fitted avoid removal as once heat cycled they aren’t really meant to be taken on and off

Well aren’t you just full of surprises?

Just to add I have the forge turbo blanket. Made the car fell like the map had been tweaked, picks up better, revs smoother & after a drive the intercooler is noticeably much cooler (before the blanket it would be so hot after a drive you wouldn’t be able to touch it).
