Go to Matty. I would not trust anything off Ebay mechanical or safety related

I fitted one to my blob eye and would describe it as functional, but I'd probably recommend a used one. What's the symptom which makes you think the pump's failed? Mine was stiff steering at certain points which turned out to be the steering knuckle but by that point I'd already ruined the pump on the car by rebuilding it, which caused more symptoms.

Why wouldn't I recommend the ebay pumps? Valving is different so it doesn't provide as much assistance (no bad thing) but this is then exacerbated when hot and so it provides gradually diminishing assistance. If you could imagine OEM is 100%, cold the pump is about 85% of stock assistance and hot about 70% of stock. In a pinch they may be worthwhile but when you can get a good used one for a lot less then that would be my choice.

Is there any groaning when you turn lock to lock when stationary? If not then I'd consider looking at the UJ knuckle if you haven't already. The other one could be to try changing the o-ring on the top low pressure return which seems to fail and suck air in which could give the symptoms you describe - they're only a few quid and a two minute change so possibly the easiest option.
