Hello,

To cut a long story short, I'm in the middle of an AWD conversion on a non-Subaru car, and we have picked up a 2008 Subaru Impreza RX complete rear axle, which we plan to use on the car. I have a few questions that I am hoping some of you may have the answers to?

1. Are there any differences between the RX and the WRX rear suspension mounting on the axle? for example, would a WRX rear Coilover bolt onto the RX axle?
2. Which Impreza model rear diff comes with an LSD as standard, and would fit this axle? I have seen a few online, some state LSD and some don't mention it, however, they have the same ratio's, is this a case of the seller not knowing it has an LSD or is only some models LSD?
   1. Further from question 2, do WRX diffs mount up to the RX axle? From pictures, the diff mount points look identical.
3. Does anyone have any good stores/websites in the UK that sell uprated suspension components for this? Such as lighter/motorsport lower arms, Coilovers, uprated bushes etc.
4. Lastly, does anyone know the true model code of a Subaru Impreza 2008 RX? I keep reading conflicting information online, would be good to know exactly what to search for.

Thanks, that helps, it confirms a lot of the hardware is actually the same part, should make it easier finding rear coilovers etc.

 

Does anyone know what the rear diff ratios for this model are? Or even better, a diff that comes with an LSD as standard? That would bolt onto this model.
