Default Turbo Fitting Kit - Owen Dev 71hta

Hey

So. I bought an Owen developments 71hta towards the end of last year. Been waiting for any of my local scooby specialists to fit it since.

Figuring on doing it myself but OD don't / won't sell me a new fitting kit. Everything has to go through Chevron.

I'm wondering if it's actually that difficult to source the kit myself. Not that I have anything against Chevron. They are good. I just think if I want just a fitting kit should be easy to get one without all the hoops.

Doea anyone have any experience of this turbo set up on a single scroll 2.5. I think the turbo is a bespoke /modified mhi td05 20g so should actually use the same fitting kit?

Any knowledge and comments would be recommended.

Yeah it was 2nd hand and I just received the unit. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

I know it fits and it's a direct replacement for the turbo on the car. Well at least my research led me to believe this.

So just looking at what I will need to fit it. But OD say get in touch with chevron. OD have an exclusive deal for everything to go through them. Chevron themselves are really busy. And I'm not having them do the work so can't expect free advice. Plus I can't believe the parts needed can't be easily available elsewhere online??

I want to do the work myself as it's mainly bolt on off jobs I've got to do. And cheapest I've been quoted is around the £1300 mark (fitting up-pipe, injectors, turbo, fmic). To have it done for me. Just felt high!

It'll only be gaskets and oil feed line I imagine I need for the turbo. But that's what I'm attempting to figure out. Incase I'm wrong. I don't want to get halfway through the install and figure out I got it wrong. Like it all laid out ready.

Cheers

Its my old one you bought off Chris so all you need is a oil pipe surely a company that makes braided brake pipes will do one for you
someone like Hel

Ahh yeah. I remember your saying.

I figured oil line. HEL make a braided one. I just wondered mainly on the gaskets. Makes sure I get the right ones.

If you mean exhaust just get standard ones from icp
just mind you will need to join your water pipe to drivers side of the engine as the turbo is oil only
