Default Engine swap from v4 to v6

Hey guys

I have had this thought for some time
now since my v4 engine has given up on me I have a v6 engine and was wondering is there much to making it work
is wiring the same or is there something I can do to make this project work

any comments welcome

Easiest solution is to swap the shortblocks. Keep your original heads, inlet manifold coil pack etc

Thanks for the info but if I wanted to keep the engine complete what sort of problems would I need to sort out

Electrically I’m not certain. Id have assumed the looms are different and there’s a lot of faffing with parts to make it work. Which is why I originally said it would be easier to swap shortblocks.

The V4 inlet manifold won’t fit the V6 heads. I know that much.

Have you searched on here for threads?
i found this much after a quick search. It doesn’t specifically answer your question but does allude to it being a PITA.

yep I have had a good look around but I couldn’t find a direct answer so I asked the question

so it looks like a it’s a complete wiring harness swap to to make this work
