Default Revs sticking

Hi Guys
Quick background is I bought a Bugeye STI ggb that's been stood for 7 years. Managed to get it up and running and through Mot after doing plenty of work
The problem I'm having is that the revs stick as if I have a jammed throttle body between 3.5k - 6k rpm while driving and if you push the clutch in the revs slowly increase.
Any ideas as what could be causing this as the throttle works perfect without sticking. Anything above 6k or below 3.5k and it seems fine

Just a little update. Turned out to be the recirculating valve opening on boost . Blanked it and problem solved . Now just need to find a new one

Fit a standard one, not a chav valve.
