looking for advice with my v5 jdm wagon (1999) idle issue. Been having the typical idle issues, and the idle fault code, so I bought what should have been a replacement. But when I popped it in, the idle went up to 2.5K and settled back to 1.5K, wouldn't budge, CEL came back on, drove badly. I had cleaned mine first, which helped, but didn't cure. And it kind of seems to have gotten worse since a remap. But the main thing is that the original valve looks a bit different from the new one. I've bought 2 new ones so far, both look the same and claim they are the correct part number. But they don't work. Picture shows original and replacement. Plunger thing sticks out further in original. Any clues?

From your photos I would say your "new" item is part number 22650AA230
