Default Lumpy idle even after cleaning IACV valve :(

got a MY98STI version 6. cleaned the IACV valve as i kept getting lumpy idle. Removed the IACV , cleaned it and sprayed WD40 to loosen it up abit. Still getting lumpy idle. Must admit it has gone a tiny bit better but overall its still lumpy.

What elese could be the problem? Heard it could be the MAF, if so how do i check that the one i got is working first. Or could be it spark plugs.

SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE

Hello, way to check the MAF is to have it running then disconnect it, if no difference then its knackered.

Spark shouldn't be really, but worth a check, if you have 7's in and have just be driving normally then that could be knackered as had this the other day, need to boost, to keep them clean.

Not sure that that will work, do a search.

Also, V6 was 99/00.

What air intake are you using?

The car was originally a gl but had a sti version 6 conversion. I'm running a standards airbus with a pink filter, think it's sti.
