What 480-500bhp turbo?
Iv seen a few turbos that fit the bill but would like some feed back by people that actually have or had a turbo that makes the required power please?
Engine is 2.5 fully forged.
thanks

yes mate but I brought this one nice and cheap ,, was going to go for the billet after but it made more power than I was expecting so iv stuck with it ,, I asked about upgrading mine but they said id need a whole new turbo so haven't bothered as 530 is plenty for now lol
are you not concerned that the standard ecu might not save your engine if there is an issue? with my up-coming build i will be going for an aftermarket ecu purely for the safety benefits of it.
like what ?? ,, aftermarket ecu would save your engine in what way ?? ,,,, as we all know that once these motors start to fail there isn't much stopping them so if my gauges are telling me its all good then I'm happy lol. , if I get any other odd readings they scream like **** and flash away at me but lets be honest by this time if its anything major its to late anyway lol ,, if its not major the gauges will tell me
my last build got saved due to normal gauges so I'm happy with them as I tend to watch what my car is doing rather than relying on things to tell me first lol

here is a statement from a tuner i have been in touch with regarding aftermarket ecu
"yes streaming info from added sensors is one of the best things about a good aftermarket ECU, we set it to do a soft cut in the event of a drop in oil pressure or a rise in oil temps, if they don’t recover it brings in a full cut,
The soft cut is a warning some things amiss and its there not only to save the engine but to warn the driver a full cut is coming so pull over and slow right down, if the pressure recovers or the temps drop down it will remove both soft and potential of full cut but its a warning that something is amiss, better a warning than a big bang.
We can also stream in water temp cuts fuel temp cuts fuel pressure cuts and a compensation table that if the fuel pressure starts top drop the injectors open up for longer to compensate up to a point then in comes a soft cut"
i was just under the impression that an after-market ecu had alot of benefits over the std ecu. i also have a gauge pack (defi).

im not saying its not a better ecu as we all know it is ,,,, from what I can read the ecu will cut things if there is a problem ,, I can see this being a real benefit if your tracking the car all the time as your focused on the track and gauges don't really get much time so you might not notice a problem ,,,, but in my road car it seems a rather big cost for the ecu to cut things off when my gauges will tell me the same thing and I can just pull over myself ,, if you don't notice your gauges flashing and bleeping at you then why have them at all lol
one thing iv learnt over these many years is don't take advice from anyone trying to sell you something lol

i wont be tracking the car its just a fast road car.
isnt there a maximum boost limit on the std ecu?
