Oem downpipe

Will an oem downpipe with cats from a wrx hatch fit on a wrx blobeye. They look very similar and i've been told the only difference is the hatch is slightly longer

Why would you want to fit the incorrect downpipe to your car? Believe is it longer and slightly different angle.
