I just swapped my original ignition leads. They were branded Yazaki, which I had on 3 other sets. The dates on there were the years. Yazaki 1999, Yazaki 2000 etc.
Does anyone know if that is the manufacture date of the leads themselves, or just the year of the car they are for?

I should have just asked my mate who had bought some leads for his 1996. He now has 2016 dated leads, so you are right.

The 2000 dated leads I used seem to have done the trick. Pretty good for 18 year old equipment.h
