I have seen a MY00 for sale with a 2.1 Cosworth piston stroker kit built and installed by Engine Tuner (apparently) but it’s had head gasket failure, what further damage will have likely occurred and is the fix expensive and or worthwhile?

It still amazes me that a rebuilt engine with a new head gasket when it was rebuilt has failed , loads of original hg out there running more than stock power havent failed

or is it a sign of the times and parts just arent as good as they were 20 yrs ago ?

more a case of folks not treating them with mechanical sympathy, frying them with bodge antilag or overusing it even when it is setup correctly.
