2.5" exhaust to 3" - re-map needed or not?

Default 2.5" exhaust to 3" - re-map needed or not?

my hawk sti has been mapped with a 3" decat downpipe with a 2.5 center section and vortex backbox. i wish to go 3" all the way,would it need a map tweak or not?

Beg to differ more flow on boost = more fuel required

I’ve changed from 2.5 then 2.75 and now a true 3” item also changed numerous amounts of exhausts on other Subaru’s never needed a map

a few people I know have gone for a so called fruitless tweak we’re its made no difference on the drive back to when they took it....from the mappers unless you are taking the downpipe cat off and deccatting the centre piece and back box have no effect on the map through experience

Will get Mark at thwaites to check the map if I decide to go ahead. I'm guessing changing the headers from std to rcm or gt spec would require a map tweak

yes changing headers and up pipe will need a tweak pal

if all your doing is putting 3" exhaust onto an already mappen in 3" downpipe then no.
