Default to map or not to map, thats the question.

hi guys been looking thro some paper work on car. an found some invoices from cotton performance (fleetwood) for ecu remap an walbro k&n panel filter, an full stainless. it was done in 2007 an i was wondering wud it need a full remap again as of time it was done.had no other parts fitted yet as trying to source a vf 43.or wud it be ok?
also any1 local just for a check on her to make sure all well.
car is 2002 jdm sti.

A remap doesn't simply expire or run out, so provided you've not fitted anything else thats an aftermarket item, a remap won't be needed.

Obviously, once you source the vf43 and fit it, you'll need an updated map

every time you change anytihg you need to map again

just finding it is the problem. since the masters are on lol.
is there any other turbo that wil do the job. what bhp shud car be running at now? with mods above. an im just looking for quicker spool , wud another turbo do same job which i can bloody find lol lol lol.

Sorry but if you want detailed responses you're going to need to be clearer than that.

Your posts dont really make sense, what JOB do you want the turbo to do? You've got a VF34/5 on there already, maybe a VF36 which are quick spooling anyway.

As for power, depends what fuel it was mapped on but assuming its 97 then with the mods on it and a map you should be in the 300-320 bracket.

sorry bout that trying to do 5 things at once. car has vf 30 on at mo. been told vf 43 wud spool alot quicker than the 30. not bothered bout top end really.
just looking for a faster spool up. hope thats a bit clearer.

The Vf48 would be ideal.
