Default Re-fitting Exhaust Header Bolts?

Looks like a bit of nice weather this weekend so my headers, up-pipe and down pipe are going back on. However, when I removed the headers two of the bolts on the OS stayed in the block and nuts came off, everywhere else the bolts came out with the nuts attached.

I want to make sure that I re-fit them correctly, can anyone tell me whether there is a sequence or specific method to fitting the headers i.e. should the bolts go into the block finger tight then put on the gaskets then slip on the header and then the nuts??

Or am I miles off?

Cheers.

As they are/should be studs with nuts, you fit the studs first mount the manifolds and then fit the nuts.

Cheers Don.

Do I need to tighten the studs up some how or do they just go in finger tight?

Thanks again.

You can use the double nut method to screw them in and bottom out - put two nuts on the stud thread and lock them together, insert stub and use a spanner on the outer nut to screw the stud home, then unlock the nuts and remove.
