Tips or tricks for removing difficult ignition leads?

Ill be doing my rocker cover gaskets over the weekend and has wondering if there are any tips or tricks to removing the ignition leads to get at the plugs?

try and give it a twist before you pull to try and break any contact between the spark plug and rubber boot
