good evening,could anyone advise me if the coilpacks out of a 2006 2.5 sti will fit a 2002 bug sti,the 2006 coils are fk0186 as are the bug ones but is there any differences due to being different engines ,thankyou

 

THINK the 2.5 ones have shorter boots.

 

they dont fit, you want the FK0140 for the 2 ltr.

 

The only physical difference is the boot length.
The Sti and the WRX have different dwell times.


FK0140 - 3ms Dwell. 9cm boot
FK0186 - 5ms Dwell. 9cm boot


So if he wishes he could swap his boots over.

 

thanks for the replies,the coilpacks that are fitted in my bug STI are FK0186,i have taken them out to check ,also checked with the prodrive edition register and was advised that they are fk0186 on a bug ,is it easy to swap the boots over,thanks
