Default Japspeed fmic any good?

I’m thinking to purchase a Japspeed fmic as there don’t seem to be any one selling any hdi ones any more.
How efficient are they? Anyone had any decent results with the Japspeed fmic?

Cheers Rob

I did wonder how efficient they were, iv heard there great iv run 500 easy enough and then I hear my mapper said it wasn’t any good after 400 odd bhp etc.

Just wanted to hear everyone’s views and power out puts and whether it been used on track?

You can still get the HDI from outlets in Australia , fast shipping doesn’t take to long , sure it’s time & money but I’d rather you put decent kit on your beloved than $hite .
Ultimately it’s up to you ?
How do you feel lol

I've got a japspeed as well.

I'd say it's ok for the money, but eg my old autobahn88 fmic had better fitting pipework, particularly on the turbo side I think the fitment is quite poor.

You can still get Subaru HDI intercooler kits through VIP Motorsport

http://www.vipmotorsport.co.uk/

I contacted them in April last year to ask if they would start importing Subaru kits for Scoobynet members as Aztec Performance were no longer around. They said yes, no problems.

Contact them for a price.

It's twice the price of the Japspeed (2fast2cool) FMIC kit, but that was always going to be more expensive. It's a much better core and kit that the Japspeed one.

That said, plenty of people do very well with the Japspeed kit.

Did you OEM dump valve bolt up to the japspeed kit or did you need to buy an adapter ?
