Default Those running VF35s - Do you find them laggy?

I’m torn between keeping the car at a safe 310-320 on a TD04 19/20T or going for more power with a VF35.

My car is a 2001 uk300 bug so I don’t want it blowing up on me, I think the TD04 would spool quicker and don’t want a laggy turbo so I’m torn lol

Anyone got an opinion that could help sway me?

A vf35 isnt laggy, in fact you will get very good spool with supporting mods.
Cant see it being a worthwhile upgrade from your current set up though as you will only see 330-340 bhp, maybe push 350 if its ported.

Ive only got a standard TD04 atm, someone sent me a video of a VF35 pull from 2nd and one from 3rd. It didn't seem to pull hard until around 4k in 2nd and 3.5k in 3rd.

Im guessing the hybrid would pull better lower down
