Default Bit come loose from underside of 2008 normally aspirated Forester

Hi
As a perfect start to the new year, I drove through some high tide overflow water today and heard a sudden graunching noise, under the car. When I stopped and looked, a piece of metal had come loose. I've pushed it back so it doesn't grind the floor. But, and forgive my ignorance, is the piece that has come loose part of the exhaust or a support for it and can I bend it back into place or does it need a proper looking at. Photos attached. I don't think I hit anything as I was going dead slow and didn't hear any bump before the "graunch" as it were.
Any advice welcomed in advance and a happy new year to all.

Regards

Clydesdaly

As above the heat shields around the centre exhaust pipe have come detached exposing the rear catalytic conveter (rusty bit in the middle ) marked item 13 below

It looks from the second picture the lower heat shield that covers the "cat" (item 15) has come loose at the front and rotated aft - a number of bolts are missing.
