Hi all,

Faint ticking noise can be heard at idle. nothing loud but its there. Can't really hear it from cold, but can hear after warm up.

Injectors can be heard ticking or could be a slight exhaust leak/uppipe.
Valve clearance, inlet manifold gasket etc..could be a number of things really.
Post up a vid/sound clip if you can.

See if you can locate where it's coming from as any noise needs investigation, if it's something breaking up then it will get worse but could be an easy repair at the moment,

If you use a laptop, cheapo desk microphone and headphones you can make a listening device. Idle the car until it makes the noise, point the microphone at different areas and hear where it's loudest. Worked a treat for me in the past.

My classic did this. Noise was from front of engine.
Scoob garage removed the fan belt, it was still doing it.
Turned out to be the crankshaft pulley rubber anti-vibration layer had come apart, and the pulley was able to move.
New pulley.
