ive recently got a 2007 WRX which has a couple of issues,

1) the water temp gauge doesn’t get upto 1/2 way on the dash gauge as I expected it would. Today after about 10 miles at 60mph the needle was only around 1/4. Wondering if the thermostat is missing or stuck closed ?

2) the car has additional defi gauges, Whilst stuck in a traffic jam I noticed the oil pressure gauge sitting around 1 bar, however it occasionally dipped just below 1 bar which caused the red light and warning beep, no oil light appeared on the dash. At 60mph the gauge shows about 5.5 bar and in normal driving afterwards (no traffic jam) the idle pressure didn’t get that low ?
According to the service book the car had an engine rebuild about 1000 miles ago but I don’t have any other info on this.
