Default 4pt harness quick release issue

Has anyone got any experience of stripping down the buckle? The issue isn’t the function of the buckle itself but how to pout it back together.

I had to remove the clip to remove the seat, slot in seat wasn’t big enough. When I removed it there were 4 springs inside and I have no clue to where they go. I’ve looked online but can’t see anything that can help.

I put it back together without the springs and it still functions and works, not entirely sure what they do, the other one seems a bit more purposeful when releasing the clips but as I say it still works.

Any ideas?

It was too big......

I've since found out that on the backside of the buckle you can push the pin that holds the clip to the lap belt permantly to release it. Ah well......

All back together now with the springs in place.
