Default ETC box on JDM

In my JDM I've got an ETC box for the Japanese toll systems. This is all fine and I'm sure the Japanese lady is saying something nice to me every time I start the car.
However, occasionally the car refuses to start unless I press some buttons on the front and/or insert a card. Currently my cinema card is in there. Anyone else had experience of these being wired into the ignition or immobiliser? If so, how did you unwire it? Is it possible to disable it?

Have you tried unplugging it?

Most have an aerial, Battery supply, ignition supply and possibly a link into a sat nav.

Find out the model number of yours and do an online search....................

Fantastic! Don, you are brilliant. Thanks for finding those for me, I'll have a read and see what I can work out.
