Hiya guys,

Need a bit of help. My car (engine, maybe turbo area) is making a odd noise at around 2500 revs. Louder when dropping down the revs, rather then acceleration.

It almost sounds like its coming from the turbo area..... Sounds like it blowing excess air out and over spinning a fan or some sort. But at the moment its doing all the time, bang on 2500 revs.

Anyway have an ideas what this might be?

Yes at 25,000 revs it will be the sound of the pistons hitting the wheels !

Is it because the rev limit on your car should be 7000rpm?

The way you describe it sounds like an exhaust leak. Could be a blown gasket in the turbo area? Uppipe or downpipe gaskets might need replaced.
